Hesse has 10 statutory public holidays. Section 1 of the Hesse holiday act adds only Corpus Christi to the nine nationwide ones, on Thursday 27 May in 2027. That makes Hesse the only state that keeps Corpus Christi but not All Saints' Day; in Rhineland-Palatinate, North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Saarland the two go together. The act dates from 1952 and its list has not changed since. In 2027, 6 of the ten holidays fall on a weekday, leaving 255 working days. For bridges this means Hesse has a second true bridge day, the Friday after Corpus Christi, besides the Friday after Ascension Day. In 2028 the Monday before 3 October and the days around Christmas are added, because both holidays then fall on weekdays. For commuters into Frankfurt from Rhineland-Palatinate the calendars differ only on All Saints' Day.

Corpus Christi yes, All Saints no
Section 1 of the Hesse holiday act lists the holidays and also names the national day of mourning and the Sunday of the Dead as days of remembrance. Only the statutory holidays are days off.
