About Brückentagplaner

Radif Partners reads the sixteen state public holiday acts, the Bavarian list of municipalities that keep Assumption Day and the Corpus Christi ordinances of Saxony and Thuringia, computes Easter with Gauss's algorithm and derives bridge days, working days and calendars for 2026 to 2028. Everything runs in your browser. We sell no trips, no hotels and no calendars.

Why this site exists

When you book next year's leave in the autumn, you look for the days where one day off turns into a long weekend. Most lists of those days sit on pages that want to sell you a trip afterwards, show only nationwide dates, or forget that Augsburg has two more public holidays than Nuremberg. This site works through each of the sixteen German states separately, includes holidays that apply in only part of a state, and shows the best plan for exactly the number of leave days you want to spend.

Who publishes it

The publisher is Radif Partners, a company that builds tools from public rules and data. Radif Partners is not an authority or a law firm, has no link with any state government and uses no coats of arms or logos. The site sells no trips, hotels or calendars and carries no affiliate links.

Where the data comes from

Public holidays come from the sixteen state holiday acts, such as the Bavarian Public Holiday Act or the North Rhine-Westphalia act; 3 October comes from the Unification Treaty. Which 1,708 of the 2,056 Bavarian municipalities have 15 August off was determined by the Bavarian State Office for Statistics; you can search that list here. Easter is computed with the Easter formula published by the PTB, Germany's national metrology institute, and the clock changes follow the Summer Time Ordinance. How bridges are computed is on the method page; how we correct mistakes is in the editorial policy.

Your data

Every calculator runs in your browser. The state, leave days and municipality you enter are neither sent nor stored. There is no account and no form. Details are in the privacy notice.

What the site does not do

It does not approve leave and does not know your employment contract. Whether Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are off for you, whether your employer closes on bridge days or whether a collective agreement gives more leave is in your own documents. School holidays are not covered.
